Welcome to the PRHA



The Parkland Regional Health Authority is responsible for the planning, coordination, funding and delivery of all health services for the 42,000 residents within the Parkland Region, situated in West Central Manitoba, Canada.

Smoke-Free Grounds coming to RHA April 1, 2012

The countdown to Smoke-Free Grounds within the PRHA is now well underway. All work sites within the PRHA will have smoke-free grounds April 1, 2012. This healthy public policy also applies to PRHA affiliate organizations (including acute care, long term care and EMS (ambulance services).
 
Some exciting staff support measures (aimed at helping our staff quit smoking) and healthy lifestyle activities (aimed at enhancing the overall health of our employees) are in the final stages of development. More details on these measures, as well as overall developments of the smoke-free grounds initiative, will be unveiled in coming weeks.
 
If you are smoker wanting to take steps to quit, or if you are thinking of making some healthy lifestyle changes- like increasing physical activity or eating well-we have some additional resources you can review to assist you with your overall goals.
